Terms & Conditions of Entry – QPCU Car Insurance Promotion

1. THE PROMOTERS:
Competition will be conducted by Queensland Police Credit Union Limited, ABN 79 087 651 036, AFSL No. 241413 (QPCU) and QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited ABN 78 003 191 035 AFSL 239545 (QBE).

2. PROMOTION PERIOD:
The promotion period is 1 August 2008 to 30 September 2008 inclusive.

3. WHO MAY NOT ENTER:
The competition is not open to employees of, or contractors to, the Promoters or any of its agencies, or immediate family of the employees of the Promoters.

4. HOW TO ENTER:
Minor Prize Draws: All QPCU members over the age of 17 who call QPCU on 131 468 and request a Motor Vehicle Insurance quote during the promotion period will be automatically given 1 entry into a minor prize draw.

5. PRIZE DRAWS:
Minor prize draws will take place at Queensland Police Credit Union, 231 North Quay at 4pm on 18 August, 1 September, 15 September and 29 September 2008. Each draw will include entries received from the start of the promotion period up until 4:30 pm the Friday prior to each minor prize draw.

The major prize draw will take place at Queensland Police Credit Union, 231 North Quay at 4pm on 3 October 2008. The draw will include entries received by members who are eligible for the major prize draw as outlined in section 4 - How to Enter. This draw will include entries received from the start of the promotion period until 30 September 2008.

6. PRIZES:
There are 4 minor prizes of $200 StarCash gift cards and 1 major prize of 2 x $1,000 StarCash gift cards. The gift cards will expire on 31 January 2010. To activate your StarCash gift card you must call the StarCash Customer Service Centre on 1300 726 530. Prizes are valued inclusive of GST and may not be redeemed for cash. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE COLLECTION:
Winners will be notified by telephone and progressively published on the QPCU website and in the September, October, November and December editions of QPCU Newsletters. It is the entrant’s responsibility to provide the promoters with accurate contact information for the purpose of advising them of winning. Prizes may be collected from QPCU or posted to the winner if advised this is appropriate. The random draw result is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. PUBLICITY:
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Promoter to use winner's first name and suburb of residence for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

9. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY:
The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to personal property and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.

10. PARTICIPATION:
Participation in the competition constitutes the entrant's unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Entry and Competition and Entry Details. The Terms and Conditions of Entry may change from time to time. The Entrant is responsible for insuring his or her familiarity with the Terms and Conditions of Entry at the time of participation. The Promoter's decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of the Terms and Conditions of Entry generally. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions at times it deems necessary.
