Q Invest is a financial planning organisation that specialises in retirement and investment planning advice for members of Queensland's public sector superannuation funds. Q Invest have a strong tradition of providing quality and affordable financial planning advice to members of the State Public Sector Superannuation Scheme (QSuper), Police account, other public sector and tertiary sector superannuation funds, as well as to the general public. Their experience in these sectors will enable Q Invest to have a better understanding of our members needs.

In the 2005/06 financial year alone, Q Invest will conduct approximately 14,700 interviews, construct over 8,000 personal financial plans, present at 120 seminars, and professionally deal with more than 12,000 advice-related telephone calls for clients across the State.

Q Invest is jointly owned by QSuper and QIC and was established in 1994. Since then, the company has grown to be one of the largest financial planning organisations in Queensland with more than 70 staff in three offices and a well developed program of regular visits to the State's regional centres.

• Ill health/disability
• Wealth accumulation including borrowing to invest, managed equities and managed funds
• Estate planning through external relationships
• Social security

Levels Of Service

Q Invest offers different levels of service to suit your circumstances. These can include individual face-to-face meetings with an adviser where they can consider a broad range of personal issues, or telephone based advice for circumstances that are less complex.

Not Commission Focussed

Like QPCU, Q Invest's philosophy is to provide strategic advice enabling you to become involved and ultimately take control of your finances. Q Invest does this in a way that provides real value.

What makes Q Invest different to many financial planning organisations is that their advice is not product-driven, their advisers are salaried employees who do not receive sales commissions. And, if you are a QSuper member, the Fund meets the cost of your consultation. Depending on your circumstances, the Fund may also meet a portion of the cost of advice about your superannuation, retirement income or insurance benefits in the Fund.
