Eligibility

Are you eligible to join the Queensland Police Credit Union Limited (QPCU)?

QPCU’s Bond of Membership allows a wide cross-section of people engaged in the administration of justice and the protection of life and property to join. This includes Police Officers, Emergency Services Employees, Ambulance Officers, nurses, and public sector employees.e Bond of Membership, a wide cross-section of people engaged in the administration of justice and the protection of life and property are eligible to join. This includes Firefighters, Ambulance Officers, SES personnel, and public sector employees.


There are a number of criteria that could make you eligible for membership of the Queensland Police credit Union. These include:

1 Employment
(a) Employees of the Queensland Police Service.
(b) Employees of the Queensland Police Union of Employees, Queensland Police Credit Union, Police Club and Police Youth Clubs.
(c) Any member of the Australian Federal Police or any member or former member of Credit Unions affiliated with the Federation of Police Credit Unions.
(d) Any Government employee resident in Queensland where payroll deduction or whole of pay facilities are available.
(e) Any person engaged in an occupation principally concerned with the administration of justice and the protection of life and property.
(f) Employees of Queensland taxi companies and their subsidiaries, or the Taxi Council of Queensland Inc.
(g) A person holding a Queensland taxi hire driver’s licence or Queensland taxi licence to hire.


2 Family

(h) Any relative of any member referred to in Clauses (a) to (g), or any relative of a deceased member.


3 Approved Persons

(i) The person is approved by the Board.


Common Bond - Body Corporate

A body corporate shall be eligible to become a member of the Credit Union subject to approval of the Board provided that at the time of making the application for membership a person is nominated by the body corporate to be the person who shall be entitled to vote at meetings of the Credit Union or in postal ballots for election of officers to the Credit Union.
