QPCU donates to the Ronald McDonald House charity
Date: 22/05/2012
QPCU recently donated $1,000 to the Ronald McDonald House charity in conjunction with the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE). Since its establishment in 1982 Ronald McDonald House has helped over 65,000 families and 1 in 8 Australian’s have been helped or know someone who has used one of their programs.
“With both QPCU’s and the QPUE’s members living all over the state, it can often mean that specialist care is a long way from home. This is especially so, for many sick children and without access to the House a large number of families would need to go to great expense to be with their children while they undergo treatment”, said QPCU’s Grant Devine.
