Do I have to be a QPCU member to apply for a loan?

Yes, as a mutual financial service organisation you must be a member of QPCU or be eligible to become a member before applying for a QPCU Loan or Credit Card.

How do I get started?

Once you are a QPCU member you need to be registered for QPCU Internet Banking to apply for a loan via Web Loans. If it is a joint loan application both members need to have their own QPCU Internet Banking password.

If you are not registered for QPCU Internet Banking you can call QPCU on 13 77 28 to obtain a form, or download a QPCU Internet and Phone Banking application form via the forms downloads page.

Upon receiving your QPCU Internet Banking password click on the Web Loan icon to get started.

What can I use QPCU Web Loans for?

You can use QPCU Web Loans for the following:

  - Home Loan
  - Personal Loan
  - Overdraft
  - Bluey or Bluey Rewarder Visa Credit Card

How do I apply?

When you clicked on the Web Loan icon page you will be directed to the official Web Loan application page. Simply click on ‘Start my Loan Application’ and follow the prompts.

User-friendly drop down options will guide you through each step in the online loan process; asking you to provide or confirm details such as your income and financial commitments. You simply select the options that apply to you.

Web Loans are delivered through QPCU’s secure Internet Banking Service, so you can be assured your details and privacy are protected. Our online banking environment has 128 bit encryption in place so you can be secure in the knowledge that information you provide us is encrypted at the highest possible level.

What are the minimum loan requirements?

The minimum loan amount must be $1,000 or more. All applicants must be 18 years of age or over and each loan application is subject to QPCU’s lending criteria.

How much can I afford?

If you would like to estimate how much you can afford to borrow, what your repayments will be or what loan term best suits you, you can use the online calculator provided on the Web Loan application page. To access simply click on the applicable calculator button. e.g. home loan calculator. Note you will need to leave one of the field options blank on the calculator to get a result.

Can I apply for an increase on my existing overdraft via Web Loans?

To increase your existing overdraft amount you need to contact a QPCU loan consultant on 13 77 28.

When can I expect my answer?

Once you hit the submit button and we receive your online application a QPCU loans consultant will send you a confirmation via email. At this time we will also tell you which supporting documents, such as recent payslips, and any other details you may need to provide.

What happens after I apply?

When we’ve received your supporting documents, a QPCU loans consultant will contact you. Upon confirmation of your loan approval we will collate a loan contract and deliver it to you electronically. If you wish to accept the loan offer, you can simply print and sign the loan documents and mail them back to Loans Department, PO Box 13003, George Street QLD 4003. (Note: scanned or faxed copies of the loan documents cannot be accepted).
